ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Teran Richards has been coaching and mentoring young athletes for over 20 years with unwavering commitment and willingness to both teach and improve each athlete and teams he coaches. A strong emphasis on fundamentals is the core of his approach to developing young players.

Richards has worked in many camps and clinics in Canada and the USA over the past 20 years. He is the founder of the Back 2 Basic Basketball Association which is one of the largest organizations in Ontario. Richards has had the opportunity to coach several players who have moved on to play basketball at the D1, Canadian Colleges, University and professionally overseas as well as players currently playing in the NBA.

Teran Richards has truly made his mark in the basketball community both on and off the basketball court by improving and providing opportunities for young athletes.

JUNIOR REGIONAL HEAD COACH

Russell Yarde has been coaching basketball for over 20 years. He has mentored and coached a variety of players currently playing in the NBA and professional leagues. He is experienced in the game and is very passionate about the growth of each and every player he works with.

Coach Yarde strongly believes that in order for you to be successful, it comes with dedication and commitment.

Coach Jamal Reynolds brings a wealth of high-level playing and coaching experience to every athlete he works with. After competing professionally for seven years and representing Canada on the Junior Men’s National Team, he has dedicated his career to developing the next generation of basketball players.

As the founder of Durham Basketball Club and Jungle Prep Basketball, Coach Reynolds has helped build one of the fastest-growing basketball development programs in the region, focusing on skill development, basketball IQ, discipline, and preparing athletes for the next level.

Being a Basketball Coach, Mentor, Player Development Courtney Dawkins is a passionate basketball coach dedicated to developing athletes both on and off the court. With a coaching philosophy centered on discipline, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, Courtney strives to help players reach their full potential while building confidence, character, and leadership. “My mission is to inspire, teach, and empower athletes to become the best versions of themselves. Through hard work, accountability, and a commitment to excellence, I aim to develop confident players, strong leaders, and outstanding people who are prepared to succeed both on the court and in life.”

Matthew Boareng

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Matthew Boateng played college football at Kansas, Arizona Western, and Fresno State

He was selected in the second round (18th overall) of th 2019 CFL Draft by the Toronto Argonauts where he played as a defensive back through 2022.
