Principal

Sajanth Mohan is a community leader, pastor, and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in Christian ministry and faith-based leadership. He has served in pastoral ministry for two decades, led Christian charitable initiatives for over 15 years, and has a background of more than 10 years in the private education sector. Sajanth holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has dedicated his life to building strong communities through education, faith, and service.

Shamar Bennette

VICE PRINCIPAL

Shamar Bennette is the founding Chaplain for Future Hope Academy.

He is the lead pastor of The Door Church for over eight years. He is passionate about teaching biblical truths, mentoring youth and young adults, and equipping believers with foundational truths. His love for students and their parents, integrity, and contribution to the FH community have made a significant impact at Future Hope Academy.

The same leadership, vision, discipline, and heart for people that have shaped his ministry now strengthen his role as Vice Principal. His ability to build strong relationships, lead with integrity, and develop others helps foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and faith at Future Hope Academy.

SOPHIE DUAN

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIIONS

Honored by God’s calling, Sophie Duan has humbly served FH Family as a mother figure and watchman, faithfully caring for its people, guarding its vales. and standing watch over its mission.

Moved and deeply touched by the FH Founder’s vision of developing students through Proactive Learning, Independent Thinking, and Experiencing Joyfulness, Sophie Duan wholeheartedly embraced this mission. For seven years, she devoted herself to cultivating the FH Family culture, serving students, families, and staff with humility and care. In God’s appointed time, she was called to take the next step—to establish Future Hope Academy Christian School.

Bringing with her the compassion and caring spirit shaped by her background as a medical doctor, together with extensive entrepreneurial and coaching experience, Sophie carries a deep and tangible compassion for the young generation. She is committed to cultivating an environment characterized by love, joy, empowerment, integrity, and leadership, building Godly young generation to impact community and society.

Alongside her dedication to FH operation, Sophie has been studying at Bible School pursuing credentials in Bible and Theology, deepening her understanding of Scripture and Christian faith as she seeks to faithfully serve the FH community and its mission.

Tim Keung

VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Tim Keung is a dynamic leader whose career spans psychology, real estate, entrepreneurship an business development.  With a background in organizational psychology from the London School of Economics, he worked with Fortune 500 companies globally before transitioning into real estate, where he now leads the TimSold Real Estate Team. As a Board Director for the Markham Board of Trade, Tim is committed to fostering business growth and education in the GTA region. His philanthropic efforts include supporting SickKids Hospital and local community and religious organizations. A dedicated family man, Tim balances his professional success with a passion for giving back.

Keigel Campbell

CHAPLAIN/BIBLE TEACHER

Keigel Campbell serves as Chaplain and Bible Teacher at Future Hope Academy, bringing over four years of pastoral leadership and ministry experience through his work at Church180 KW. His experience includes biblical teaching, discipleship, leadership development, mentoring, and community engagement.

Keigel is passionate about working with people, particularly young people, and is committed to supporting their spiritual, personal, and leadership development. Through teaching, mentorship, and pastoral care, he seeks to create an environment where students are encouraged to develop strong character, pursue excellence, and grow in their understanding of faith and purpose.

Seba Yalcin

Administrative Officer / Office Manager

Seba Yalcin has a decade of experience in education consulting, student admissions, and school administration. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, her own experience as an international student in Canada inspired her to pursue a career in education and support students and families as they navigate their educational journey.

With experience working with both local and international students, families, education agencies, and schools, Seba understands the importance of finding the right educational pathway for every student. She is passionate about making the admissions process clear, welcoming, and supportive, while helping families feel confident in their decisions.

At Future Hope Academy, Seba supports students and families throughout the admissions and enrolment process and works closely with them to ensure a smooth transition into the school community. Her goal is to make every family feel heard, supported, and well prepared, from their first inquiry through enrolment and throughout their child’s time at the school.

Lara Cerqueira

Guidance Counsellor 

Lara Cerqueira is an educator and Guidance Counsellor with the experience in teaching, student guidance, and academic administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education and brings over 10 years experience working in education and supporting students throughout their academic journeys.

At Future Hope Academy, Lara supports students and families with academic planning, course selection, graduation requirements, transcripts, and post-secondary pathways. She works closely with students, parents, teachers, and administration to ensure that each student has a clear and supportive academic plan.

Lara has effectively guided students throughout their journey with Future Hope Academy and beyond. She believes that student guidance begins with listening and understanding each student as an individual. Her has helped students recognize their strengths, make informed decisions, and feel confident about their academic journey and future.

OZGUL MANAY

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Ozgul Manay holding a Bachelor’s degree in Education, she brings 19 years of experience in the field of education to Future Hope Academy.

As an educator, she brings a strong understanding of students’ needs and the day-to-day dynamics of a school environment to her role as an Administrative Assistant. She combines her educational experience, organizational skills, and attention to detail to support students, staff, and families while helping ensure the school’s daily operations run smoothly.

David Vu

Manager of Student Services & Recruitment

David Vu brings over 23 years global expertise to the institution. His extensive career includes 15 years in Vietnam pioneering international enrollment pathways across Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Canada, complemented by 8 specialized years within Toronto’s private secondary education sector.

He is a caring, detail-oriented and dedicated education professional and passionate about helping students find the right educational opportunities for their future. His experience, approachable nature, and commitment to student success make him a trusted resource for students and families.

Richard Lloyd

 MATH AND SCIENCE TEACHER

Dr. Richard Lloyd received his Masters in Education from the University of Windsor and his Doctor of Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He has achieved numerous other doctorates including a Doctor of Philosophy from the International Bible University, Oklahoma City, OK. He has been teaching for over 30 years in secondary school classrooms and online, with over 20 years experience in Christian schools, where he assisted with mission trips, mentoring, biblical expository teaching, weekly devotionals and tutoring. What he has valued most during much of his teaching tenure is that, as a believer, he could present his lessons within a foundation of biblical truth.

SADE DYER

ENGLISH & SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHER

Sade Dyer is a passionate and highly skilled Ontario certified educator with 17 years’ experience teaching English, Social Science and Drama courses. Her teaching philosophy is foregrounded in equity and transformative pedagogy.

She believes in intentionally cultivating classroom spaces where all learners thrive, not merely repeat information, but engage meaningfully and critically with content. She is always excited to meet new students each year to co-create a welcoming and inclusive space where their academic growth is supported.

VANESSA WOO

GRADE 8 Teacher

Vanessa Woo is a caring and dedicated teacher with a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University.

With over eight years of working with children, she continues to go where God has called her in serving children and youth through education. She has been blessed with a passion for teaching and continues to strive to be a light for Jesus through it. Her goal for her classroom is to create a space where students embrace imperfections and feel safe enough to simply try. 

ANITA ANING

ENGLISH/SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHER

Anita Aning is a passionate and driven teacher with a Bachelor of Education from York University. She believes that teaching is more than just imparting knowledge from a subject onto children and youth, but it is about inspiring students to reach their full potential in all aspects of life.

With over 10 years of experience working with children and youth, she is dedicated to fostering inclusive and safe spaces for all students to succeed. As her relationship with Christ has grown, she has felt called not only to serve young people professionally but to walk alongside them spiritually, encouraging them in their faith journeys and helping them discover their God-given purpose. Anita is committed to leading with compassion, authenticity, and grace, striving to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves both inside and outside the classroom.

Yaroslav STROYAN

English/ESL/Social Science Teacher

Holding a master’s degree of Translation and Interpretation and passionate about helping students build linguistic confidence and fostering cross-cultural awareness, empowering them to thrive in our globalized world, Yaroslav Stroyan has been teaching English in Canada, Hong Kong, and China for over a decade.

Yaroslav believes that personalized support and encouragement are key to unlocking each student’s potential and fostering their love for the English language and communication. His unique teaching inspires students to embrace English not only as a language, but also as a gateway to understanding and connecting with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

JOCELYN Li

Math/Science TUTOR

Jocelyn Li is a caring, student-centred educator with a professional, positive, and supportive classroom presence, committed to building meaningful relationships with students and families and contributing to a faith-based school community.

She has her Bachelors of Science from Thompson Rivers University and her masters in Education from the University of Toronto. She has taught high school math, science and physical education.

TERAN RICHARDS

Basketball Head Coach

Teran Richards has been coaching and mentoring young athletes for over 20 years with unwavering commitment and willingness to both teach and improve each athlete and teams he coaches. A strong emphasis on fundamentals is the core of his approach to developing young players.

Richards has worked in many camps and clinics in Canada and the USA over the past 20 years. He is the founder of the Back 2 Basic Basketball Association which is one of the largest organizations in Ontario. Richards has had the opportunity to coach several players who have moved on to play basketball at the D1, Canadian Colleges, University and professionally overseas as well as players currently playing in the NBA.

Teran Richards has truly made his mark in the basketball community both on and off the basketball court by improving and providing opportunities for young athletes.

RUSSEELL YARDE

Basketball Coach

Russell Yarde has been coaching basketball for over 20 years. He has mentored and coached a variety of players currently playing in the NBA and professional leagues. He is experienced in the game and is very passionate about the growth of each and every player he works with.

Coach Yarde strongly believes that in order for you to be successful, it comes with dedication and commitment.

Samuel Mills

Board of ADVISORs

Samuel (Sam) Mills is the Interim Lead Pastor of The Bridge in Markham, Ontario, bringing over 25 years of pastoral leadership experience across North America. Born in Sri Lanka and raised in Toronto, Sam has served in both the U.S. and Canada, including more than 15 years in Canadian ministry. He previously held senior leadership roles at Sanctus Church in Ajax and is widely recognized for his relational leadership and ability to empower others through strategic coaching and team development. Sam holds a Graduate Diploma and Master of Theological Studies from Tyndale University and Seminary, a ThM from Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Adaptive Leadership through Fuller Seminary. He is known for delivering biblically grounded, practical teaching that speaks to real-life challenges, with impactful messages such as Through Many Trials and The Lord Is My Banner. Sam also serves on the boards of Chosen Children and Pickering Christian School, and is a certified facilitator for Prepare & Enrich and Working Genius. He lives in the GTA with his wife Ann and their two children and enjoys sports, technology, theology, music, and travel.
